I know he'll prove a jade...

Welcome one and all, it's time to continue the show that never ends. Right now, we are approaching the end of the run for Taming of the Shrew by himself, ol' Billy Shakes. This weekend at Shoup Park,(SHOOOOP or SHAOWP depending on who you ask.) in the heart of Los Altos, the Busbarn Stage company presents it's summer fair. I love working with people who are more talented than me and this show has been a real ego cracker for that one. Nothing like the challange of good acting to make you want to be better at what you do.

last weekends crowds doubled the opening weekend, so by that ratio, next weekend we may need to set up wide screen viewers for the people in the cheap seats.

I am already getting that heart scratching sting that means my companions in the effort will soon be moving on and become naught but freindly faces at another audition in another time for another show. It's a mini reinactment of my childhood years when our military family moved every year to another country and another world, with all the things I loved about it and all the things I hated.

I am by nature a lover of all people. It's natural to me to find the things in those you meet that intrigue, that facinate, and that (when I can keep my own mouth shut long enough to listen) teach. I would never dain to embarrass any one person in particular, but lets just say that this cast has been one that will be hard to part with, and yet parted with having learned much.

Hope you can make it next weekend. Three o'clock, and no ticket price, bring your suncreen.
A tast of the crew......
